The climate crisis is a global problem that requires urgent on-the-ground action. According to the IPCC, we must reduce emissions by 45% below 2010 levels by 2030, then to net-zero by 2050 to have a good chance of avoiding life-threatening warming (The Paris Agreement, 2015). 

Luckily, the circular economy presents us with a 39% emissions reduction opportunity. By increasing the level of circularity of our economy from 9% to 18%, we can realize that reduction with relatively little effort compared to other solutions (Circularity Gap Report, 2019).
